How should the tiles around the bathroom floor drain be applied? There are too many details to pay attention to when decorating the bathroom well. In addition to basic issues such as waterproofing and ventilation, ceramic tile laying also has a significant entrance. Everyone knows that a certain slope must be reserved when applying floor tiles. The slope crossing will affect the installation of toilets and other sanitary appliances, and the slope is too small and ineffective. It is entirely up to experienced bricklayers to grasp the appropriate slope. In addition to the slope, it is also very important to handle the tiles at the floor drain, ensuring both aesthetics and smooth water flow.
Cross paving method
Place the floor drain at the center of the cross line formed by four adjacent tiles, aligning the four corners with the edges of the tiles and extending in all directions. This method is very suitable for square floor drains, which are relatively beautiful and have a natural slope.
Staggered paving method
The floor tiles are laid in a staggered manner, leaving a space for the floor drain, ensuring the integrity and aesthetics of the tiles.
Diagonal cutting method
Choose a suitable location for setting up a floor drain, place the floor drain in the middle of a certain floor tile, cut diagonally along it, and form a groove at a certain inclination when laying. The floor drain is embedded in the center, which is convenient for drainage and can better control the position.
Quadrilateral cutting method
The seemingly complex solution is the most common and applicable one. Draw a box centered around the floor drain at a distance of 6-10 centimeters from the edge of the drain, and create a diagonal line from this point. When tiling, create a slope.
Edge Interrupt
If the floor drain is located at the edge of the wall, it can be paved with straight floor tiles at the edge, leaving a space for the floor drain directly in the middle.
Floor drain is a small decoration accessory that is not easily taken seriously. Many homeowners purchase floor drain after the tiles are laid, but this is actually the wrong procedure.
There are many types of shapes for floor drain panels. If you don't purchase the floor drain in advance and confirm this information, workers may not know how much size of holes to reserve in the drainage hole when laying tiles. If the reserved hole does not match the size of the floor drain purchased later, it will also be a headache. So the floor drain and tiling are basically carried out simultaneously.
